The Belfield Bike Shop and Cycling Safaris team in festive mood
The Belfield Bike Shop had humble beginings, in a stable no less, behind Belfield House. That was over 20 years ago and we are still on campus but have since graduated to a "newer" premises by the running track which we share with our sister company, Irish Cycling Safaris a cycle tour company.
We don't have a flashy showroom- we are too down to earth for that but we do have a committed staff of avid cyclists!
John, Marcin, Antoine, and Aidan have a huge range of experience between them. From cyclo-cross to commutting , from trans-european tours to track racing, from mountain biking to multi-stage road racing, there is not much in cycling that escapes our crew. And, what is more important, is that the guys in the Belfield Bike Shop are not bike snobs. They wont turn their nose up and look snootily over your trusty, slightly rusty steed. They are equally happy to work on €100 bog standard bike or €10000 state of the art speed machine. The combined experience of the team means that there is always someone to help and advice you with whatever questions or problems you have. Just try to keep it to cycling and bikes!
The Belfield Bike Shop is proud to be associated with the Irish Hospice Foundation's cycle challenges. We have been involved since the first event, Dublin to Paris in July 2009. Since then we have been providing back up and support on the Irish Hospice Foundations fantastic fundraising challenges, Paris to Geneva 2010, Geneva to Nice 2011 and Lyon to Nice 2012, The Atlantic to the Mediterranean in July 2013, San Sebastian to Barcelona 2016 and Genoa to Rome 2016. These events have raised huge sums for a great cause. We have gained invaluable experience while supporting over 100 riders for 5 days on some of these events.
We have also worked with on the big fund raising ride, Paris2Nice, from 2011 to 2016 included, as well as many other single day and multi day sportive events in Ireland and Europe.
